APAC-Tennessee has been named the recipient of the Work Zone Safety Award for Excellence (S.A.F.E.), presented by the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) at the 2025 AAPA Quality Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“This award highlights the many efforts made by all the members of our team to finish the year on a very positive note,” said Juan Rios, APAC-Tennessee Memphis General Manager. “Through a resilient commitment to our safety processes and each other, an openness to exploring employee ideas and the empowerment of employees within our safety culture, the team at APAC-Tennessee brought everyone home safely in 2025. This accomplishment will make 2025 an unforgettable year.” 

Awarded annually to one contractor in Arkansas, the S.A.F.E. Award recognizes companies that demonstrate an outstanding safety record and a steadfast commitment to protecting employees working in active roadway construction zones. APAC-Tennessee stood out for its proactive safety practices, strong safety culture and its focus on ensuring every employee returns home safely at the end of each day.

Founded in 2000, the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) provides a collaborative voice for Arkansas contractors and promotes high-quality asphalt across the state.
